KBR DANCE

My cute KBR kids got to do a dance for the Christmas program. We worked on this dance for about 3 weeks and all i have to say is they ROCKED it!! I was worried at first having to come up with a dance for 9 boys and 2 girls but they had so much fun and did an AWESOME job!!

So last night I was looking through some blog templates and I found this one but couldn't get it to work but anyways this Rudolph totally looks like this toy I had. I remember looking forward to Christmas cause it meant I got to get this toy out. I believe when you turned it on it sang a song his nose lit up and he just walked around. I don't remember where I got it, I think my great grandfather gave it to me? I don't know... mom if you read this maybe you know... but anyways just seeing this brought back some fun childhood memories. Oh yeah Brittany I think you had one to let me know if you remember where we got them from. So yeah MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Ershui

A couple of weeks ago we went to Ershui. Its a place about an hour from where we live. You go on this really pretty trail and there are wild monkeys along the trail it was AMAZING(until it rained....

Halloween

Okay so i'm behind on blogging.. Heres some fun pictures from Halloween. The Kids were so cute in their costumes. We had a Halloween party and they got to go trick or treating. This was alot of the kids first Halloween so some of them were pretty confused.

GREEN ISLAND

Okay so its been awhile since I've blogged :D Here's some pictures from last week we went to Green Island over the holiday and I turned 21!!!

Getting ready to go white water rafting with no guide and about 200 people it was AWESOME except for when our boat tipped over and we all thought we were going to die... but no worries a boat of 50 year olds saved me....

Getting ready to go SCUBA diving!! This was the most amazing thing I've ever done we were so close to the fishes we got to feed them in the water so we pretty much could pet them ha ha. Also our guide found a clam and opened it and I got to eat fresh clam meat in the ocean it was AWESOME!!!!

On our way home. Megan dragged the suitcase behind the scooter to ferry and we just so happened to go through someones group photo right as the flash went off it was pretty funny...

For my Birthday I got a Cosco CAKE and lets just say I was REALLY REALLY REALLY EXCITED!!!

Cindy in my KBR class bought me these flowers for my Birthday they were AMAZING and smelled so WONDERFUL!!

FROGS!!

This post is dedicated to my two lovely students Michael and Jellen Yesterday in class I was correcting the kids homework. Jellen was all over the place and talking to Michael I kept telling him to sit down but he wouldn't really listen finally Jellen raises his hand and says "Miss a Lindsey I can't find my frog" Okay the frogs here are the most ugliest things I've ever seen and well I'm scared of them so I freak he then goes on to tell me its about the size of a quarter and its black and oh no worries our floor is white with black circles so the frog blends in with the floor...so everyone by now is running around screaming looking for the frog and I'm just standing in the middle hoping nobody steps on it. Finally Bairt finds the frog trying to climb up the wall, Jellen picks it up and puts it back in his bag... Around the time of trying to find the frog our secretary Gloria comes by (she just happens to be a major animal/creature lover) she takes the frog and asks Jellen if she can let it go, after Jellen thinks about it for awhile he lets her take it. So yeah you'd think that would be the end of the frog but oh no. We go back to work and break time comes... I start looking around and realize that all the boys in my class are in the bathroom I walk over and Michael has filled up a bag with water and what looks like grass so I get a little closer and it turned out to be a bag of water full with about 10 dead frogs floating around... and no worries who walks by again... Gloria who at this point I think was about to cry ha ha she then asks me if she can take the boys and talk to them so she takes them downstairs and gave them about a 15 minute lecture on frogs they came back and said "Miss a Lindsey we wont kill anymore frogs" with really sad faces :( I'm not for sure what Gloria told them but i'm guessing she made them feel really guilty.

BUDDHA

After church Rachelle and I went to the Big Buddha in Chung Wa. We had tons of fun!



I tried to lift the sword and I might of moved it one inch if that... It was really windy outside.. As you can see my dress kept filling up with air..

I was really excited cause i got to rub the Buddha's belly!!! We tried to feed the fish but by the time we got there i guess they were full

A Day In The Life of Me!!

So a lot of people have been asking me what its like to teach so I decided instead of repeating myself a million times I'll just blog it ha ha Okay so my first class of the day is my kindergartners it starts at 8:30 in the morning I have four different groups that I teach for a half hour usually my whole lesson revolves around one object like today we talked about a feather for a half hour "how light is the feather" "can you blow the feather" "I have the blue feather I want the green feather and so on" This class pretty simple sometimes I get bored like the other day we were building Cinderellas castle and I got kind of bored so I started knocking down Oscars castle he however did not find this funny :D and that's pretty much kindergarten

My next class is my lovely Kbrb2 kids... Oh words can not even begin to describe this class... This class needs a minute by minute break down ha ha oh just a little side note I have 9 boys and two girls. I start teaching at 1:30 from 1:30 to 1:55 I correct their homework while they "write down words" This time usually turns into "Jellen you didn't give me your book" "Toby what did i just tell you a second ago sit down in your chair" "Tony its not that hard you only have to write down 15 words" "Bairt please stop pretending to blow up Harry" At 2:00 we read our set books this time turns into "harry please stop drawing in your book" "Jellen this is not nap time wake up" "Michael and Jasper please follow along" "Ray the word is as not ass" from 2:25 to 2:50 we then practice are spelling words :D this part goes pretty well since they get to play a game but by the end the game turns into shoving and hitting. 2:50 to 3:10 Break time your probably thinking sweet they get a 20 minute break but oh no this is the scariest part of day break time with 9 boys turns into world war three the ninja animals vs the ninja warriors.... i must say my kids have really good sound effects but once again it turns into "NO RUNNING" "Bairt and Cindy please stop kissing each other" "Boys stop asking Cindy if you can eat her food" "Michael just because he touched your elbow doesn't mean he hit you" "and my favorite miss a Lindsey why you not married?!?!?!" Alright I promise this day gets better from from 3:10 to 3:30 we read a story i don't think I've fully made it through a story yet cause well when you put 9 boys and two girls really close together while sitting on chairs its amazing the things they can come up to do while your reading today it was lets see if I can fit my whole body in my shirt... alright so from 3:30 to 4:20 Its an activity that I plan today we talked about leaves so we went outside to pick leaves and within 5 minutes Bairt was twirling around like a ballerina Jasper and Jellen were playing tag and I was left in the middle yelling please come back and listen to me... we then took our leaves upstairs to draw and somehow b/w outside and one flight of stairs 4 of my kids lost their leaves.... so its a good thing i thought a head and picked extras :D So its now 4:20 best part its clean up time and then 4:30 GOODBYE ha ha now don't get me wrong I love my kids to death they just really know how to drive me up the wall :D

Homesick!!

So I love the fact that I really havn't been homesick since I left but today I called my grandma and she let me talk to Tamyra for oh about 3 minutes and the first words out of her mouth are "lindsey where are" "when are you going to come back i miss you" and "I have to go to school now i love you" Yes that is all she said and it made me cry ha ha so yeah that is why i'm now homesick :D

Temple

We just recently got the opportunity to go to the Taipei Temple!! It was amazing! Your in the city mostly made up of the color gray and you turn the corner and bam there it is! We had a blast it was like a little piece of home.

After the temple we went to Taipei 101 which as of right now is the tallest building in the world! It was really cool on top. To get to the top you get to take the fastest elevator in the world as well it takes 30's to get to the top i was pretty light headed after the ride. Over all it was a great day we even got to eat at SUBWAY!!

Taiwan

So as most of you know i'm now living in TAIWAN!! I'm teaching english to the most adorable kids ever!! I love working with all the teachers we get along really well and so far the first two months have been AMAZING!!!

So i've decided to give in and try this blog thing... I'm not gonna lie i'm extremely confused ha ha so if you have any advice on how to work this thing then let me know
